What is a Nintendo Online Game that you were able to finally complete thanks save point hack?
I was able to recently finish NES Ghost and Goblins thanks to saving every step I got. I played it because I was curious about the upcoming game. After playing it, The graphics were quirky but too brutal. Will wait for G and G reviews to come in.
What if there was an online multiplayer game that was free to download, but every time you played a match it deducted $0.01 from your Steam/PSN/Xbox Live/Nintendo eShop/Apple/Google Play account?
So I’m looking to improve on smash and I’ve recently gotten Nintendo online finally, but despite having, what I hope is good game sense, I’m very bad at a technical sense with a controller and joycons
Any way or tips that I could use to improve? Anything would be appreciated kindly
Rant: If any other company had an online experience that was remotely close to what Nintendo has provided with this game, that company would be out of business because no one would play their games.
I know there has been some complaining about this in the past, but I just recently had my first true experience with the nightmare that is the online system for this game so I'm going to share my frustrations with it. The full extent of my online interaction in this game has been buying things from other players on Nookazon that I can't get on my own island, and so far I've tolerated it, but today I just happened to buy something from someone whose Dodo Airport was basically a revolving door because of how many customers they had and it was absolutely insane. Every single time someone new entered the island, we had to wait on the incoming flight screen while they watched the flyover animation. Then when they left, we have a loading screen for the save game animation, then the save animation, then a loading screen for back to the island. For every single person. There is absolutely no excuse for any 2020 game to have such a horrendous online experience, let alone from literally the oldest video game company in existence on a triple-A game.
Saving should entirely happen in the background.
The island flyover animation should be skippable for the incoming visitor.
The players already on the island should not experience any sort of interruption when a player leaves or enters, including not requiring people to exit all menus/conversations. The most that should happen is a popup banner that someone has arrived or left.
The invite via Dodo Code option should never ask about friends only vs anyone with the code, let alone ask twice. If people want to invite a friend specifically, there should be a separate UI to let you select specific friends.
None of this is beyond what Nintendo should be capable of. Actual indie games offer better online experiences than ACNH and it isn't even close. All other online games (at least that I can think of) offer this experience. Online games have been a thing for literal decades now and even Nintendo has had internet-capable consoles since 2004 with the DS and 2006 with the Wii.
What are the chances of Gameboy Advance games ever being added to Nintendo Switch Online?
I've been thinking about maybe getting a Gameboy Advance or DS that can play GBA games, and I remembered Nintendo Switch Online. What are the chances of GBA games being added to the service? It's almost been 2 years since NSO started, and they're probably gonna add a new set of games to it(I predict Gameboy/Color). I know that GBA games have been available on Wii U and Ambassador 3DS's, but do you think they would add GBA games to NSO in the future?
What if there was an online multiplayer game that was free to download, but every time you played a match it deducted $0.01 from your Steam/PSN/Xbox Live/Nintendo eShop/Apple/Google Play account?
Guys, if you have a Nintendo Switch and sub to their online membership, download Mario Bros 35! Its free until early 2021 and can make for some funny content. Budget gaming is my middle name! Well it's not really my middle name, but you get what I mean....
What do you think is going to happen to pokemon games when nintendo 3ds online services get shut down? Discuss
All pokemon games (exept gb and gbc) are conected thanks to transfering functions (pokepark, wireless transfer etc). Pokebank is the main pokemon games conector (because it conects 4 generations) the problem is that is a nintendo 3ds exclusive app and it will probably get shut down in a couple of years (eshop is already shut down in some places). What do you think is going to happen?
What are your predictions for the retro games on Nintendo Switch Online in the next 12 months?
I was thinking about this today - over the past 12 months, the rollout of Snes and Nes games has been pretty poor. Not necessarily the quality, but the number has been really low compared to how many games there are, and some repeatedly hoped games continue not to be added. Plus there's the rumour of other consoles that hasn't been realised. So thinking to August 2021, what do you predict retro games situation will be like on Nintendo Switch Online? Many more games, or still around three a month? More consoles?
If Nintendo were to make Game Boy Online, what games should they put on it?
Here are some of my ideas: • Super Mario Land • Super Mario Land 2 • Tetris • Dr. Mario • Super Mario Land 3/Wario Land • Donkey Kong (1994) • Donkey Kong Land • The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening • Metroid II: Return of Samus • Pokémon Red Version • Pokémon Blue Version • Alleyway • Tennis • Golf • Yoshi (the puzzle game) • Game & Watch Gallery Do you have any other ideas?
Request for recommendations. What’s good to play online? Would appreciate your views - I love Nintendo (my set up pictured - love retro consoles but also play PS4). I’ve completed story mode on RDR2, is that good to play online? Mainly into role playing games like Zelda or RDR. Thanks in advance.
Gamees, what is the story behind your Nintendo online name?
I'm part of a podcast that is planning an episode dedicated to unique gamertags and the stories behind them. I'm not going to say anything more about it because this isn't about us but about you, the gamers. If you'd like to know more about the podcast you can DM me. What we want to know is what your gamertag is, how it came to be your gamertag and how it reflects you as a gamer and/or a person in general? As gamers, our gamertags are an important part of our identity and to most other gamers, it is all they will ever know about us. Is yours based off a nickname, a personality trait, a Fandom, etc? What do you feel it conveys to other gamers about yourself? This is you opportunity for your gamer identity to be shown off.
What happens if your Nintendo Switch Online subscription expires while you're playing a game?
For example, let's say I'm playing Super Mario Maker 2 at 11:59 PM on the last day of my Switch Online subscription, and the clock strikes midnight while I'm still playing. What happens? Do I eventually get kicked out of the game? Can I keep playing as long as the game remains running and the Switch stays on?
What happens to my stuff in game if I buy Nintendo online subscription but doesn't renew it?
Hi everyone, this community is really friendly and creative, so I wanted to ask about this: I was thinking about buying a Nintendo switch online subscription so I can use the community created content (not sure how though, but that's another problem). The question is, if I buy like one month of the online service, use content created by the community but don't renew the subscription, what will happen to my in game things I've downloaded? Will like paths/furniture/clothes disappear if I don't have the service anymore?
